Rockford, Ill., - The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, conducted by Misha Rachlevsky, will be performing Friday, October 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., at the Rockford College Clark Arts Center in Maddox Theatre.
Chamber Orchestra Kremlin was founded in Moscow in 1991 by Misha Rachlevsky with the special purpose to record works by Russian composers. Rachlevsky began violin lessons at the age of five and has been immersed in music ever since.
In the last 19 years, the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin has produced over 30 award winning CDs and has earned national acclaim. The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin’s concert was described by the San Francisco Classic Voice as follows; "…the Russians covered themselves and the music at hand with uncanny musicality, precision and verve. The 16 string players offered the sort of superb playing one expects only from a top string quartet on a good night.”
The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required. For more information, contact the Rockford College Boxes Office at 815-226-4100.
The performance is part of the college’s Forum Series. To see the Fall 2011 series line-up visit: http://www.rockford.edu/?ForumSeries.
