Rockford, Ill., – Rockford College will host "TINY: Art from Microscopes at UW-Madison” Exhibition from October 6 – November 5, 2011 in the Rockford College Art Gallery at the Clark Arts Center.
"TINY” is an exhibition of scientific photographs and 3-D models of the beautiful images generated in the course of research by biologists, engineers and physical scientists at UW-Madison. This group of works depicts cells, molecules and nanoscale structures that represent the thought provoking integration of art and science. Organized and curated by Tandem Press at UW-Madison, the exhibit seeks to expose the often-underappreciated creative and visual nature of the scientific enterprise.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Friday 3–6 p.m.; Saturday 1–4 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
The Exhibition is free and open to the public. Clark Arts Center is accessible. For more information, contact the Rockford College Box Office at 815-226-4100.
