Misunderstanding the United States Constitution addressed in Forum Series Lecture

Rockford, Ill., – Jules Gleicher, Ph.D., author, professor and Chair of the Political Science Department at Rockford College, will give a talk about misunderstanding the US Constitution on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 12 p.m., in Rockford College’s Fisher Memorial Chapel.

This talk explores and attempts to correct several common and sometimes partisan misunderstandings of the Constitution.  

Dr. Gleicher is the author of Political Themes in the Hebrew Scriptures and The Accidental Revolutionary: Essays on the Political Teaching of Jean-Paul Sartre as well as articles on Shakespeare, Moses Maimonides, Plutarch, and topics in American constitutional law. He is Secretary of the Eta of Illinois chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Rockford College. Dr. Gleicher has also made many media appearances giving political and public policy commentary.  

Dr. Gleicher received his Bachelor’s degree and M.A. in Government from Cornell University and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
