SUMMARY
:
Provide assistance to
the Graduate Office staff in their daily duties.
Communicate with current, prospective and
alumni students to further enhance the MAT/MBA program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:

Process paperwork that come in and out of the Graduate Office
-
Maintain student files
-
Communicate with students through letters, email, walk-ins and phone
calls, online chat; answering questions about the programs we offer along
with certification requirements
-
Communicate with Rockford College faculty and staff
-
Enter student data into computer ensuring data integrity
-
Produce and distribute communications for current MAT/MBA and MAT
alumni students
-
Research competing MAT programs
-
Attend MAT events, such open houses, career fairs, etc.
-
Register students for graduate programs
-
Assist with projects
-
Email district job postings to MAT students as needed
-
Help with office duties as needed
-
Help market the MAT program
-
Work at the receptionist desk at 5100 East State
-
Work with the MBA GA's to put together the MAT/MBA tailgate party
for reunion weekend
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree
- Admission to the MAT program
- Knowledge of Office software
- Professional verbal and written skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical and
mental demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by
an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions. While
performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to use hands
to finger, able to type on the computer, talk and hear. The employee frequently
is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently
required to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel. The incumbent
may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employees work in a
professional office environment that is highly visible to members and the
college community. Normal office conditions prevail. Office work is performed
primarily indoors.
Ability to be
available at times outside normal working hours for meetings and events is a
must.

is required to attend office meetings, the MAT Advisory Board and work with
individuals on a one to one basis and as a team to perform assignments as
needed.
Great customer service
skills are expected.
- Scientific Skills – This
position requires students to research and gather data pertinent to
specific projects taking place in the graduate office.
Data is collected and communicated for
certification and accreditation purposes also.
