Remember to celebrate Green Week
Occasionally, members of the Executive Council share a message in this space. Today, we hear from Tina Anderson, Vice President of Business & Chief Financial Officer

Dear students, faculty and staff:

Spring is officially here! The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and the grass is finally turning green – albeit underneath a bit of snow this morning. With spring’s arrival comes Green Week, which is April 18-22. This year, our friends in Student Activities and JACCE are teaming up to offer several activities around campus to help celebrate Green Week:

· Monday April 18 – Painting Canvas Bags from 11:00-1:00 on the Colman Library Patio
· Tuesday April 19 – Bottle Cap Crafts from 11:00-1:00 on the Colman Library Patio
· Wednesday April 20 – Be the Change (movie and discussion) at 6:00pm in the Lion’s Den
· Thursday April 21 – Trash Hike Around Campus - meeting at 11:00am in Kent Center
· Friday April 22 – Flower Planting from 11:00-1:00 on the Colman Library Patio

Join us for one or all of these fun, environmentally friendly activities to help Rockford College celebrate Green Week, and to help keep our campus looking beautiful.

Have a great week!

Tina Anderson, CPA, CIA
Vice President of Business & Chief Financial Officer

Are you interested in Washington, D.C. internships for summer or fall of 2011?
These opportunities provide professional experience and access to exciting learning and sharing environments in our nation's vibrant capital city. The Washington Center (TWC) is still accepting applications for the upcoming year, so please read on if you are interested and contact Dr. Catherine Forslund or TWC with any questions. TWC extended the official summer deadline and will continue accepting materials. Since many students are already registering for fall classes and securing space in on-campus dorms or apartments, it's important to start thinking about spending a semester in D.C. very soon (unless you'll be attending as a postgraduate). Apply by our fall 2011 competitive deadline of May 2, 2011!
Ready to apply? Get started online at: Don't forget that in addition to our Washington-based offerings, our D.C.-London Program is also available during the fall semester. You should apply to be considered for that program by May 13.
