Centennial of the Mexican Revolution subject of talk at Rockford College

Rockford, Ill. – Antonio Delgado Ph.D., former Smithsonian Institution Visiting Scholar, will give a free talk honoring the centennial of the Mexican Revolution and its impact on the United States at Rockford College in Fisher Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Delgado will examine some of the major effects the Mexican Revolution in 1910 had on the United States including Mexican immigration to the U.S., the invasion of New Mexico by General "Pancho” Villa, and Mexican expropriation of U.S. oil company properties in the early 20th century.

This talk is sponsored by the Rockford College Spanish Club and the Illinois Humanities Council.
