University of Wisconsin Professor and Poet to read his works in English, Spanish and Spanglish

Rockford, Ill. – Rubén Medina, Ph.D., Chair of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Spanish and Portuguese, will give a free talk at Rockford College’s Clark Arts Center in Maddox Theatre on Monday, March 28, at 4:00 p.m.
Poet, activist, professor and scholar, Dr. Medina will read from his poetry in English, Spanish and Spanglish, including work from his most recent book "Nación nómada,” published in 2010. He specializes in Mexican and Chicano literature and culture, intellectual history, film studies, and Mexican migration to the U.S. Dr. Medina will supplement his reading with comments and anecdotes about his personal and literary journey from Mexico City to Madison Wisconsin and all points in between.
Admission is free but tickets are required.
