ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford College men’s basketball team held on to a slim hope of a Northern Athletics Conference post-season tournament berth after Saturday’s 97-86 loss as the hands of Benedictine University. The loss dropped the Regents to 9-13 overall and 6-9 in the NAC.
The Regents trailed wire-to-wire, as Benedictine connected on 15-29 three-point attempts and 26-36 free throws, many in the game’s final minutes. Rockford connected on just eight shots from downtown and went to the line only 18 times in the game.
