Marengo man Knighted for his efforts

ROCKFORD (WREX) - One man's commitment to education leads to being Knighted in the Dominican Republic.
"Those of us who are in the United States, we have everything. The Dominican doesn't have a lot. The bottom line for us is, we felt that it was the right thing to do," says Chuck Follett, the CEO of Follett Corporation with offices all over Illinois. The company donated thousands of dollars worth of books and other educational products to schools in the Dominican. As a thank you, the President Knighted him.
Follett also manages the Rockford College bookstore and District 205 uses the company's software.
