Rockford, Ill. – Rockford College professor Matthew Flamm (Philosophy) and instructor Jennifer Rea (English) are editors of the volume The Continuing Relevance of John Dewey: Reflections on Aesthetics, Morality, Science, and Society which they gathered together at a 2009 conference in Poland. One of professor Flamm’s papers, "Santayana’s Critique of Dewey’s Philosophy: Pragmatic Moralism and the Politicization of Philosophy” is contained in the anthology. This volume is part of the Value Inquiry Book Series.

‘The present volume encapsulates the contemporary scholarship on John Dewey and shows the place of Dewey’s thought on the philosophical arena. The authors are among the leading specialists in the philosophy of John Dewey from universities across the US and in Europe.’
