United Way and NICNE unveil “Volunteer Connections”

Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence will unveil "Volunteer Connections” on Friday, January 7, 2011 at noon in the Burpee Center at Rockford College.
"Volunteer Connections", a partnership of the Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE), the United Way of Rock River Valley and other community partners will be unveiled at the inaugural event which will inform community organizations about the value it will bring to local nonprofits and the communities they serve.
A demonstration of a web-based information system about volunteerism and volunteer opportunities will also be held. This is a "brown bag” event.
There is no charge but registration is requested by Noon, Thursday, January 6, 2011.
