LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Rockford College women’s basketball team had little time to dwell on Friday’s late loss to Grinnell College, as they faced tournament host Lake Forest College on Saturday.  The Regents could not find an answer for the home, falling to 0-3 after a 71-50 loss.

Senior Megan Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./ Pearl City) led Rockford with her first double-double of the year with 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.  Junior Britney Curry (Merrillville, Ind./ Merrillville) and sophomore Nicole Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./ Pearl City) added 12 points each for the Regents.

Rockford shot just 32% from the floor and connected on just 16 field goals for the game.

Curry was named to the 2010 Forester Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after averaging 15 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

The Regents will return to the friendly confines of the Seaver Center on Tuesday, when they host the Beloit College Bucs at 7:00 p.m.
