Rockford College professors present, publish works

Rockford College (rockford.edu) math professors Mehmet and Filiz Dik published a paper about the life and accomplishments of their late doctoral professor, Caslav Stanojevis from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Mehmet Dik also co-authored a paper published in Mathematical and Computer Modeling.
Matt Flamm, associate professor of philosophy, presented at the annual meeting of the Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy.
Phillip Soosloff, associate professor of art, exhibited at the 16th annual International Exposition of Sculpture, Objects and Functional Art in Chicago.
Dave Menard, assistant professor of art, presented an exhibit of 10 drawings in the Spencer Gallery at the University of Arkansas.
Tom McIntyre, associate professor of sociology/anthropology, reviewed manuscript for the book "Peace Processes in Sociological Perspective” for Polity Books of Cambridge, UK.
Dr. Patricia Walters, professor and coordinator of religious studies, wrote two publications: "The Assumed Authorial Unity of Luke and Acts: A Reassessment of the Evidence” and "The Synoptic Problem” in "The Blackwell Companion to the New Testament.”
Dr. Stephen Hicks, professor of philosophy and director of the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship at Rockford College, gave a talk on Entrepreneurship and Humanistic Management Ethics at the 16th International Symposium on Ethics, Business and Society in May at the IESE Business School at the University of Navarre, Barcelona, Spain.
