Registration under way for lessons at Music Academy of Rockford College

Registration for classes at the Music Academy of Rockford College is under way for fall, and people with an interest in learning an instrument or getting their children to play and sing are encouraged to sign up.

Offerings include: Prelude (music for the young child age 6 months to 6 years), Suzuki instruction (beginning at age three), traditional instruction, and adult instruction. Instruments taught are piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, flute and voice. Ensembles, performances, recitals, workshops and master classes with world renowned artists and teachers round out the curriculum.

"Learning about music can be a very enriching experience and lead to becoming a more well-rounded person,” says Marti Frantz, the long-time academy director. "It can enrich not only the lives of the students but that of their families.”
