Two faculty members at Rockford College have been honored with excellence in teaching awards given annually to a full-time professor and adjunct professor.

Dr. Stephen Hicks, professor of philosophy, received the award for the full-time professor. He has been at the college since 1992 and is also the executive director of the college’s Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship. The adjunct award went to Gary Lubbert, director of the Return to College program, offering a bachelor of science degree in management studies. He has been with the college since 1995.

Nominations for the awards come from throughout the college and winners are chosen by an ad hoc selection committee.
