Regents Athletics In the News

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The efforts of several Regents athletes were profiled in local newspapers on Tuesday. The Freeport Journal Standard focused on senior softball player Andrea Hundertmark (Freeport, Ill./ Forreston) who was named Northern Athletics Conference Softball Student-Athlete of the Week two weeks ago. Further down, the article also mentions the play freshman softball player Nicole Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./ Pearl City) and baseball players Ben Korth (Freeport, Ill./ Orangeville) and Curt Daughenbaugh (Dakota, Ill./ Dakota).

Also on Tuesday, the Rockford Register Star published an article on senior baseball player Kyle Standridge (Carol stream, Ill./ Glenbard North). The piece focuses on offense and his 27-game hitting streak, currently the second longest in the nation.
