ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford College baseball team recently completed a 5-1, a week in which the Regents averaged 13.5 runs per game. Their offensive catalyst resides at the top of the order and was recently moved from outfield to what is known was the hot corner. For his efforts, Regents senior Kyle Standridge (Carol Stream, Ill./ Glenbard North) was named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.

Standridge, a physicals education major, went 14-30 (.467) in last week, while recording at least one hit and one run scored in all six games. Rockford’s third baseman also notched two stolen bases and knocked in 12 runs. Defensively, the senior had just one error in his 24 possible chances.

For the season, Standridge ranks among NAC leaders in several statistical categories, including hits (#1 - 35), runs scored (#1 - 31), triples (#1 - 4), and batting average (#5 - .422).
