CHICAGO, Ill. – The Rockford College outdoor track team fought through the rain and windy conditions completing another solid performance at the University of Chicago Ted Hayden Invitational. The combination of light rain, up to 25 mile and hour wind gusts and excellent competition make for a difficult day, but the Regents runners continue to break school records.

Junior Erin Filak (Rockford, Ill./ Boylan) shaved nearly 10 seconds off Rockford’s previous school record for the 800 meters with a time of 2:36.01. Fellow junior Randy Ebert (Poplar Grove, Ill./ Belvidere) also established a new school records in the 3,000 meters (9:47.64).
