Lindgren Becomes 3 Time NAC Champ

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Rockford College indoor track team continued their evolution under first-year head coach Chad Zeman with a 7th place finish at the 2010 Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Track Meet on Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The meet was highlighted by the efforts of senior Matt Lindgren (Oak Forest, Ill./ Oak Forest). Lindgren became the NAC’s three-time 800 meter indoor champion with a time of 1:56.31, breaking his own conference championship record of 1:56.78.
Freshman Jerry Lewis (Bloomington, Ill./ NWC) also made an impact in the 400 meter dash, with a time of 51.41, good for second in the conference.
As a result of their finishes, both student-athletes were named All-Northern Athletics Conference performers.
Rockford will travel to Ames, Iowa on Saturday to participate in the NCAA Qualifier Meet at Iowa State University.
