Bern Sundstedt is Employee of the Year at RC

Fifteen-year Rockford College employee Bern Sundstedt was named "Employee of the Year” at the college’s annual faculty/staff appreciation dinner recently.

Sundstedt is director of development and alumni relations for the college, an important role in generating support for RC. Sundstedt was cited for his hard work and commitment, which have made a difference in the college’s ability to serve students. He was chosen from among 11 other nominees who were previously named "employees of the month.”

Also at the appreciation dinner, the following were recognized for years of service:

5 years – Deborah Dietz, business support manager; Elizabeth Drog, technical director/production manager; Dr. Matt Flamm, arts and humanities division chair and associate professor of philosophy; Paul Hill, adjunct instructor, English Language Institute; Kelly King, administrative assistant, safety and security; Jennifer Nordstrom, associate vice president for undergraduate admission and strategic marketing; Monna Ohme, graphic designer and coordinator of print services; Pam Clark Reidenbach, director of the Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence; Danny Stallons, chemistry lab assistant; Dr. Frank Weaver, assistant professor of chemistry; James Wrzek, officer, safety and security

10 years – Robin Kenney, administrative assistant, Music Academy; Elaine Sharpe, campus minister

15 years – Dr. Debra Dew, associate professor of education; Kathy Roushey, audio visual technician; Ella Stenberg, administrative assistant, admission; Bern Sundstedt, director of alumni and development; Dr. Belinda Wholeben, professor of psychology
20 years – Jeff Fahrenwald, director of the MBA program and associate professor of economics/business/accounting; Cathy Kight, executive assistant, academic affairs; Dr. Masoud Moallem, professor of economics and business
