KENOSHA, Wis. - For the third straight meet, Jerry Lewis (Bloomington, Ill./ NWC) and Heather Goodrich (Tinley Park, Ill./ Victor J. Andrew) have broken school records in multiple events.
Lewis, a freshman, has broken the 55m, 200m, 400m, and the 4x400m relay records in three consecutive meets. Jerry posted blistering times of 6.85 in the 55m, 23.3 in the 200, and 51.68 in the open 400m, as well as a 51.9 in the last leg of the relay, which included senior Matt Lindgren (Oak Forest, Ill./ Oak Forest), junior Randy Ebert Belvidere, Ill./ Marengo), and sophomore Bobby Tassone (Sandwich, Ill./ Sandwich).
Goodrich, a transfer sophomore, has set the long jump, triple jump, and the 200m records in three consecutive meets as well. Heather has posted a 4.6M long jump, 8.96m in the triple jump, and ran 31.7 in the 200m to set the team records.
Other great notes, junior Randy Ebert (Belvidere, Ill./ Marengo) set a personal best in the 3,000m run, running 9:31. Freshman teammate Eric Woelbling (St. Louis, Mo./ McCleur North) also set a personal best by running a 10:44.
The next Regent Indoor Track and Field meet will be in 2 weeks when they travel to Galesburg, Ill. for the Knox College Invitational on February 13th, 2010.
