Regents Fall to Muskies

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – For as well as the Rockford College women’s basketball team played on Saturday against Aurora, they played just as poorly on Tuesday at Lakeland College in their 59-39 defeat. Rockford committed 19 turnovers and shot just 30% from the floor, including connecting on only four second half field goals.
Junior Melissa Swaziek (Loves Park, Ill./ Harlem) paced the Regents with 14 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Erika McCall (Henry, Ill./ Henry Senachwine) added nine points and eight boards. Senior Danielle Townsend (Machesney Park, Ill./ Boylan) grabbed a game-high 11 boards.
Rockford will travel to Lisle, Ill. on Saturday to face the Benedictine University Eagles at 2:00 p.m. as part of a women’s and men’s doubleheader.
