Regents Shoot Down Stars

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Rockford College women’s basketball team continued their solid play on Saturday with a 70-61 win at Dominican University. Rockford used a balanced offense, led by senior guard Jessica Moore (Rockford, Ill./ Boylan) and junior forward Megan Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./ Pearl City) and a solid team defensive effort. Moore tallied a career-high 18 points on 8-11 shooting from the field. Lawler recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 16 points and 15 rebounds, including nine on the offensive side. Junior Melissa Swaziek (Machesney Park, Ill./ Harlem) added 15 points and sophomore Brittney Curry (Merrillville, Ind./ Merrillville) recorded 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
