Regents Senior Aces Two NAC Honors

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Though the final record may not have been among the best in the Northern Athletics Conference, the NAC’s coaches thought that the play of one Regents volleyball player was certainly among the best.  Senior outside hitter Megan Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./ Pearl City) was named to both the All-Northern Athletics Conference second team and the NAC All-Sportsmanship teams.

The physical education major led the Regents with 335 kills (3.13 per game), 58 service aces, and 410 digs, and was second on the team with 24 total blocks.  Lawler also ranked among the conference’s best in kills (second), service aces (first), and points (fifth).

Lawler is now preparing to begin play for the 2009-10 Regents women’s basketball team.
