The Edgewood College women's soccer team went from one extreme to the other over the weekend at Breese Stevens Field.

The Eagles routed a Rockford College team that fielded just nine players 12-0 in a Northern Athletics Conference match Saturday afternoon, then dropped a 2-0 decision to perennial power UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.

Stevens Point (8-3-1), which is 5-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and ranked fifth in the NSCAA Division III North Region poll, got goals from junior forward Vicki Bieschke (Waukesha Catholic Memorial) in the 26th minute and freshman forward Kirsti Nickels (Appleton East) in the 58th to continue its mastery of Edgewood — the Eagles haven't scored a goal in nine meetings all-time against the Pointers, all losses.

Senior goalkeeper Ilana Bar-av (Madison Memorial) made 10 saves for Edgewood (8-4-1), which was outshot 18-3 and didn't have a shot on goal as its six-game winning streak came to an end.

A day earlier, the Eagles (4-1-1 NAC) led 4-0 just 10 minutes in and finished with a 47-2 advantage in shots against Rockford (0-7, 0-5), which has had eight or nine players for the entire season. The shot total ranks fifth in program history.

Freshman Abby Moder scored four goals for Edgewood, sophomore midfielder Kelsey Beck (McFarland) had two goals and two assists and four players scored their first goal of the season — junior midfielder Alice Udelhofen (River Valley), freshman forward Kelsey Bysted (Janesville Parker), sophomore midfielder Jamie Ende (Middleton) and freshman midfielder Taylor Case.

Men
Senior forward Jerrid Dokey (Green Bay Southwest) had a hand in all three goals as the Eagles (8-3-2, 5-1) strolled to a 3-0 victory over the Regents (1-8, 1-6) at Breese Stevens.

Dokey set up freshman striker Paul Domann (Madison West) for his second goal of the season in the 31st, scored his sixth of the year on a header in the 38th and played a through ball that fellow senior forward Andriy Apetrey (Wisconsin Dells) finished in the 49th for his team-best eighth of the season.

Dokey moved into seventh place in program history with 26 career goals, ahead of Matt Kleppe, who had 25 from 2000 to '03. He also has five assists this season, matching his total from his first three seasons, and surpassed Kleppe for eighth place in career points with 62.

Edgewood was in control throughout as it dealt Rockford its fifth straight loss, outshooting the Regents 20-6 and not allowing a shot on goal until the 69th minute. Junior keeper Shane Sullivan (Reedsburg) started and posted 65 scoreless minutes before sophomore backup Kyle Koenig (Sheboygan South) made two saves in the final 25 minutes.
