Hundreds of teachers start their summer break by going right back to school.

At Rockford College today, pre-K through 12th-grade teachers begin a two-day conference. They hope to get a better handle on all the new technology facing them and their students.

Author and keynote speaker Marc Prensky says, "Let the students use the technology. Don't try to be the master of the technology as a teacher, because the kids will always be ahead of you. What you need to do is listen to what they can do, and work together as partners to create educationally valuable stuff."

The teachers will also learn how this generation of students processes information differently from those who didn't grow up with computers.
