Regents Hurler Strikes NAC Honor

ROCKFORD, IL – On Monday, the Northern Athletics Conference released its weekly list of Student-Athletes of the Week.  For the first time in 2009, a Regents pitcher received the award.  Junior Adam Ketzner (Mundelein, IL/ Mundelein) joined Eric Nicholson as the only two Regents to win the award this season.

Ketzner, a physical education major, was simply awesome in his two starts last week.  Ketzner pitched 15 shutout innings, while allowing just four hits and striking out 24 batters.  The junior lefty pitched complete games wins at Wisconsin Lutheran College (13-0) and at Lakeland (15-0).  For the season,  Ketzner is 2-2 with a 5.28 earned run average.  His 41 strikeouts in 30.2 innings pitched is second best on the Regents team.
