ROCKFORD - St. Elizabeth Center gets items for families in need this holiday season.

Students from Boylan High School collected food supplies, clothing, toys and other items over the past few weeks. Tuesday they loaded up a truck with all the stuff and delivered it to the St. Elizabeth Center. 58 families will benefit from the generosity of the students and their families.

Students, staff and faculty at Rockford College also helped out the center Tuesday. They delivered about 150 gifts as part of the college's "Giving Tree" program.

The names of children were placed on ornaments and then chosen by anyone who wanted to participate. Everything collected will go to children in the St. Elizabeth Center's preschool and after-school programs.
