The Rockford Park District is celebrating a major milestone tonight, 100 years of service.
Hundreds of people gathered at Rockford College tonight to kick off the year-long celebration.
Tonight's event featured a comedic performance of the history of the Rockford Park District. This is just the first of a series of special events to come throughout the year.
Leaders say they are amazed at how far the Rockford Park District has come in the last century.
