A measure passed by congress today includes nearly $230 million for Iillinois projects, including more than $1 million for Rockford.
The Keith Creek clean-up project will receive more than $500,000. Rockford College will get nearly $240,000 to update classroom equipment.
Our Children's Homestead in Rockford will see $200,000 for tutoring services for at-risk kids.
And the Discovery Center has $300,000 coming its way for improved science education.
