Five Marian University players scored in double figures, but that wasn't enough to stop Rockford College in the second half of a Northern Athletics Conference game Tuesday at Sadoff Gymnasium on the Marian Campus.
Rockford (9-7, 4-4) went 5 of 6 from 3-point land in the second 20 minutes and downed Marian, 84-77.
Wayne Franklin led Marian's offense, going 7 of 14 from the field to score 17 points.
North Fond du Lac native Justin Bestor had 15 points off the bench and Logan Rankin added 13 points and six rebounds. Marian's starting center, Colin Lohenry, had a double-double, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds.
Marian (4-12, 1-7) led 40-34 at the half, but Rockford went on a 6-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the second half to erase the advantage.
