Regents Fall to Carthage

LOVES PARK, IL – The Rockford College baseball team failed to extend their win streak to nine, as the Regents fell to Carthage College 10-5 on Tuesday at Road Ranger Stadium. The loss dropped Rockford to 10-4 on the season. Freshman Jimmy Dercks (Kaukauna, IL/ Kaukauna), junior JT Stanfield (Mokena, IL/ Joliet JC), and senior Phil Smith (Monroe Center, IL/ Stillman Valley) had two hits each for Rockford.
The Regents will try to get back on the winning track with a trip to Milwaukee, WI on Thursday to face MSOE in a conference doubleheader. Rockford will return to Road Ranger Stadium on Friday and Saturday to face Aurora University and Benedictine University, respectively. Friday’s games begin at 1:00 p.m., while Saturday’s action starts at 12:00 p.m.
