Rockford native, Julliard student to perform at Rockford College

A free recital featuring Rockford native and Julliard School student Ben Geller on viola will be held March 4, 6 p.m. in the Fisher Chapel at Rockford College.
Geller attended The Music Academy of Rockford College in his formative years, and the academy is sponsoring the recital. He will be accompanied by Mindy Asher on the cello.
After attending Butler University in Indiana, Geller went on to study at Julliard’s master’s program, from which he expects to graduate in May. He has already had two professional auditions and plays occasionally at venues around Manhattan.
The concert is open to the public and families with young children are encouraged to attend. The Music Academy at Rockford College caters to people of all ages who have a passion to learn or play music. For more information on the academy, call 815-226-4168.
