Regents Run in Badger Classic

MADISON, WI - In the first indoor track meet of the season, the Carthage College Opener, senior Tony Hardin (St. Peters, MO/ St. Peters) ran a 4:35.58 indoor personal best in the mile run with junior Seth Lagerhausen (Mesa, AZ/ Dobson) turning in a 9:36.90 personal best in the 3,000 meters to highlight the season opener.
Scoring points for the Regents were: Lagerhausen (3rd - 3,000 Meters), Hardin (4th - Mile), Matt Lindgren (Oak Forest, IL/ Oak Forest) (7th - Mile), Bobby Tassone ( Sandwich, IL/ Sandwich) (6th - 55 Meters and 7th - 200 Meters), with the 4x400 Relay Team of Hardin, Lindgren, Randy Ebert (Poplar Grove, IL/ Belvidere), and Jeff Orlowski (Ottawa, IL/ Ottawa) finishing 6th.
In the second meet of the season, Rockford traveled to the University of Wisconsin for the Badger Classic, where Matt Lindgren and Jeff Orlowski both broke the existing 400 Meter school record with times of 54.93 and 58.0 respectively. Seth Lagerhausen set another personal best in the 3,000 Meters at 9:32.24 and freshman Tyler Mendenhall established a personal best of 4:54.80 in the Mile Run.

The Running Regents travel to Illinois College on January 23rd and 24th for the Snow Bird Open. Running events start at 12:00.
