Scott Ashley to exhibit art at Rockford College

Artist Scott Ashley will exhibit his work in the Rockford College Art Gallery from Nov. 7 – Dec. 5, with an artist talk Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. and reception from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
In his recent works, Ashley takes common everyday objects and transforms them in a way that expresses the psychological, emotional, and perceptual attachments we all have with these objects. Viewers then use their own experience to redefine the object and its meaning.
Admission to the exhibition is free. Art gallery hours are noon – 2 pm. Tuesday; 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday; and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday – Saturday. The gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.
