A women’s volleyball match between Rockford College and Concordia College Chicago will have extra significance when the two teams meet Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Seaver gym on the Rockford campus.

The contest, called the Think Pink! Volleyball Game is intended to raise awareness about breast cancer and collect funds for organizations supporting breast cancer research. It is sponsored by Rockford College’s Jane Addams Center for Civic Engagement (JACCE), and is one of several activities on campus marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Admission to the Think Pink Volleyball Game is free for students and the community. For more information, contact Emily Blaha at eblaha@rockford.edu.

JACCE is also participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk October 25 benefitting the American Cancer Society.
