Speaker, author to talk about diversity, racism

Author, radio, essayist and performer damali ayo (all lower case) gives a fresh dialogue on race and diversity during a talk at Rockford College Oct. 21, 7 p.m. in the Maddox Theatre.

Author of the satirical book, How to Rent a Negro, ayo has been acclaimed as one of the most provocative and amusing commentators on contemporary race relations. She brings stories, humor, and a unique insight to help audiences reflect on their own views toward race. The talk, part of the college’s Forum Series, is being held in conjunction with Diversity Awareness Month.
