Insko and Taylor Named Regents of the Week

Rockford College Athletics announces that senior Andrew Insko (South Beloit, IL/Christian Life) and junior Tanner Taylor (Rockford, IL/Christian Life) are the “Regents of the Week” for the week of September 8-September 14.

Insko, a senior on the golf team, won his first tournament as a Regent this pas weekend at the Edgewood College Invitational at Glen Erin golf course in Janesville, WI.  Insko led the field after the first round with a 1 over 72.  Day 2 of the tourney was cancelled due to rain, making the opening 18 holes the results for the tournament.  

Taylor, a junior on the men’s soccer team, made recent history this week in RC’s first soccer win in nearly 3 years.  Taylor was superb, leading the Regents with 1 goal and 1 assist in the 2-1 win over Maranatha.  Taylor’s beautiful cross to teammate Moses Decker tied the game at 1 in the first half.  Taylor then sealed the win with an unassited game winning goal in the 79th minute.
