Insko Drives to NAC Honor

ROCKFORD, IL – Three consecutive top four finishes is not a bad way to start your senior fall golf season. That’s exactly what Rockford College golfer Andrew Insko (South Beloit, IL/ Christian Life) has done thus far in the 2008 season. Insko’s latest performance, a victory at the rain-shortened Culver’s Edgewood College Fall Classic, was good enough to be named Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.
Insko shot a 1-over-par 72 on the 6,849 yard Glen Erin Golf Course, besting 86 other golfers. Two other golfers also finished at +1, but Insko took the top spot based on his performance over the day’s final nine holes.
In the season’s first two events, Insko also medaled, finishing fourth in the Highland “36” Invitational and third in the Marian University Invitational.
Insko, a 2007 All-Northern Athletics Conference golfer, and his Regents teammates will next take the links on September 27-28 at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, WI for the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational.
