Regents Net 1st Tennis Victory

SHEBOYGAN, WI – After eight consecutive losses to open the 2008 season, the Rockford College women’s tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory against the Lakeland College Muskies.  Senior Emilia Sawras (Rockford, IL/ Guilford) notched her second win of the year in #1 singles, a win that got the Regents off to a great start.  Also notching victories on the day were: senior Emilie Viaud (Rockford, IL/ Chateau-Thibaud (France)) - #2 singles, senior Anna Jacobs (Rockford, IL/ East) - #3, junior Marianna Rosas (Rockford, IL/ Miguel E. Schultz (Mexico)) - #5 singles, and freshman Justine Brown (Madison, WI/ Memorial).  Rockford also swept the three doubles matches.


The Regents will host the Benedictine University Eagles on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
