Regents Ground Eagles

MADISON, WI - The Rockford College volleyball team extended their win streak to two games after defeating the Edgewood College Eagles three games to one.  The victory improved the Regents Northern Athletic Conference record to 2-1, 4-10 overall.

Rockford was led by senior Amelia King's (German Valley, IL/ Forreston) 18 kills.  Sophomore Melissa Swaziek (Machesney Park, IL/ Harlem) and senior Clara Wiersma (Rockton, IL/ Hononegah) also notched double digit kills, with 14 and 10, respectively.  Senior setter Amanda Austin (Machesney Park, IL/ Harlem) had 41 assists through the four games.  Defensively, sophomore Tara Dean (Janesville, WI/ Craig) led Rockford with 23 digs.

Rockford will next take the court on Tuesday, September 30, when they travel to Lisle, IL to face Benedictine University.
