Rockford College faculty publish papers

Two faculty members at Rockford College and a consultant based at the college have had research papers published in prestigious publications. Deborah Breiter, chemistry professor, collaborated with three Chinese researchers to publish a paper in the Journal of Immunology entitled “Enhanced Antitumor Responses Elicited by Combinational Protein Transfer of Chemotactic and Costimulatory Molecules.” Colleagues on the project included Guoxing Zheng and Aoshuang Chen of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, and Shanrong Liu also with the college of medicine and the Second Military University, Shanghai, China.
Also, David Pippitt, professor of biology, collaborated with former student Rachel Wihlborg and Ray Marsili of Marsili Consulting to publish a paper in the Journal of Microbiological Methods. Title of the paper is “Headspace Sorptive Extraction and GC-TOFMS for the Identification of Volatile Fungal Metabolites.”
