‘Hot Mikado’ set at Rockford College

Rockford College presents “The Hot Mikado” Oct. 2-5 in the college’s Maddox Theatre with performances set at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Based on “The Mikado” by Gilbert and Sullivan, the musical is a hilarious 1940s-style rendition of the original, with a generous helping of blues, swing, and hot gospel.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors age 55 and up. For tickets, call the college box office at 815-226-4100.
