Speakers to address entrepreneurial topics at Rockford College

The Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship at Rockford College announces its distinguished speakers for the fall semester, all of whom are recognized authorities in their field.
“The Virtuous Entrepreneur” with Terry Noel, Wed, Sept 3, 3 p.m.
Noel is associate professor of management and quantitative methods at Illinois State University, teaching classes in entrepreneurship and management. His research has been published in journals including The Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, and the Journal of Entrepreneurship Education. Noel studies the process of entrepreneurial learning and how entrepreneurial thinking can benefit both start ups and established organizations.
“Entrepreneurship and the Liberal Arts,”Anil Singh-Molares, Mon., Sept 29, 3 p.m.
Singh-Molares is CEO of EchoMundi, an international consulting, research and product development company based in Bellevue, Wash. Prior to founding EchoMundi, Singh-Morales worked for 12 years at Microsoft, where he was senior director of vendor relations and a recipient of the Microsoft Achievement Award. He is also currently a member of the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
“Entrepreneurship in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina,” Emily Chamlee-Wright, Wed., Nov 5, 3 p.m.
Chamlee-Wright is a Mercatus senior research scholar and professor of economics at Beloit College. Her research interests include development and cultural economics and she writes and teaches about indigenous markets in sub-Saharan Africa. She is the author of The Cultural Foundations of Economic Development and co-author of Culture and Enterprise.
All talks are free and open to the public and will be held in Scarborough Hall, Room 4 on the Rockford College campus.
The Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship is a unique, cross-departmental program that serves as a clearinghouse for resources, speakers, and courses dealing with business ethics and entrepreneurship topics.
