The Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence is sponsoring a business plan development workshop for non-profits Wed., Sept. 10, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the Burpee Center Grace Roper Lounge.
Workshop topics include identifying programs with profit potential and the SWOT analysis, as well as the business plan development process--the business model, the leadership team, the market, competition risk, operations, and financials. Participation is required for those who plan to enter NICNE’s business plan competition, where up to $10,000 is awarded to the winning entrants.
Pam Clark-Reidenbach, NICNE director, says the workshop is designed for senior non-profit executives and board members committed to applying business concepts to day to day operations or preparing for an earned-income venture.
Instructor for the session is Jeff Fahrenwald, Rockford College associate vice president for graduate and community education.
Fee for the workshop is $60 per person. For reservation information, call NICNE at 815-226-2833, or see www.rockford.edu/busplancomp.asp.
