Music Academy gets gift from local arts group

Students in Measure 5, a select orchestral group in the Music Academy at Rockford College, will benefit from a gift to the academy from the Rockford Area Arts Council. The $100 grant will be used for financial aid, scholarships, and professional development, says Marti Frantz, academy director.
Measure 5 is a select group of student musicians that travels widely performing a variety of music. Members of that group include:
Sam Battista, Alexa Bradley, Caroline Chen, Ashley Earls, Chantalle Falconer, Margaret Ferguson, Kalie Grable, Alan Hale, Julianna Kallstrom, Ellen Larson, Patricia Lee, Michael Lindvall, Kendall McCabe, Jamie Nerius, Joanna Nerius, Sam Nerius, Ava Norberg, Saumaun Rajabi, Bill Schoenburg, Katie Schulz, Henry Solberg, Muriel Solberg, Benaiah Sombke, Vashta Thompson, Ethan Webb, and Megan Wright.
