Open House set for graduate, accelerated programs at Rockford College
Friday, July 11, 2008
Rockford College hosts an open house Mon., Aug. 11, from 11:30 a.m. – noon and again from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in its Burpee Center for adults who would like to return to college to earn a master’s degree in business or education or a bachelor’s degree in management studies in an accelerated format.
Those who attend will learn more about the college’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and the cohort-based bachelor’s of science degree in management studies (BSMS) in which students can complete their degree in 18-24 months.
In the innovative BSMS program, students attend class one night a week from 6 p.m. -10 p.m. The program, started in 2005, has already graduated three separate 15-person cohort groups where the same students move through their classes together. Participants are typically working adults representing all sectors of the workforce—manufacturing, service, retail, health care, and education—who want to advance in their career. The next set of cohort groups starts in September and October, 2008.
