Lion's Den Manager

The Student Worker for the Lion's Den will assist in the day to day operations and will work very closely with the Graduate Assistant.  The primary emphasis of this position is to assist in maintaining the LIon's Den supplies and facilities, in conjunction with the GA, who is implementing student programs with the goal to increase student involvement, increase commuter involement, and increase utilization of the Lion's Den space.


  • Be knowledgeable of the resources in the Lion's Den
  • Assist in maintaining the facilites in the Lion's Den
  • Create and host campus wide events in the Lion's Den space once a semester
  • Complete daily assessments of the space and submit work orders for any needed repairs
  • Assist in tracking work orders
  • Post publicity for events as requested


  • Enrollment in an undergraduate program at Rockford University
  • Needs to have knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Needs to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


The physical and mental demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.  While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to use hands to handle/ feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop and kneel.  The incumbent may occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjuct focus.
