Rockford University invites applications for a full-time
tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science starting August
2014. A graduate degree in Computer Science or
Systems is required; a PhD is preferred. Candidates must be able to
teach in the core CS curriculum. Preference may be given to candidates who are
able to teach Web Development courses. Prior full-time college teaching
experience is highly preferred. Enthusiasm for teaching in a small-university
liberal arts setting is essential.
Candidates for the position should send their applications
electronically consisting of a cover page,
a recent and detailed curriculum vitae, a teaching statement documenting
teaching effectiveness, a research statement proposing a research program
viable at a small liberal arts university and accessible to
all related transcripts graduate
and undergraduate, and have three letters of recommendation sent (at least 2
letters should address the applicant's ability to teach effectively) separately
