Rockford, Ill. - The Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE) will be hosting three new programs this year for nonprofit management. The programs will be hosted by Rockford College located at 5050 East State Street, Rockford. The new programs are as follows:

Fundable Grant Requests

Friday, January 18, 2013, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Includes FREE Lunch!

Facilitated by: David Buchen, Grant Coordinator, RVC

Funders receive many more proposals than they can fund, and projects must clearly fit within a foundation’s funding strategy. Therefore, it is important to take time to write and develop a grant proposal based on a strong project concept. Funders are looking for projects that match their interests, are sustainable, innovative, and have a positive impact within their community. Explore first steps to developing a successful proposal. This working lunch will provide attendees with a set of questions which you can use to evaluate your concept for funding.

Writing a Winning Foundation Proposal

Six-part weekly series on Fridays, February 1 through March 8, 2013

This program will provide the tools, training, and hands-on experience needed to write a successful foundation grant proposal ranging from $6,000 to $15,000. The series will provide a facilitated learning environment where each participant will develop a complete grant proposal over the course of six sessions. Each session will consist of classroom training and hands-on computer lab time.
